Hwy 4 crossing reopened after CN cars derail near Biggar

The crossing at Highway 4 and 51 outside Biggar has reopened after it was blocked by a derailed train cars Wednesday morning.

Five Canadian National cars came off the tracks but remained upright while being moved at a rail yard.

RCMP said they received the call around 6:20 a.m. No dangerous goods were involved and no cargo was spilt.

RCMP are on scene and assisting Canadian National police and crews, but the incident and investigation will be the responsibility of CN.
