City still accepting COVID-19 vaccination cards
The City of North Battleford is advising residents that people can still show their Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) wallet cards as proof of COVID-19 vaccination to access city facilities where required at this time.
At the Jan. 10 council meeting, city manager Randy Patrick said the city would begin accepting only QR codes at city facilities where proof of full vaccination is needed starting this week.
However, the city has since issued a statement indicating the implementation of the requirement to provide an electronic copy with QR code as proof of vaccination in specified city facilities has been delayed. So the SHA wallet cards are still fine to use for entry to the public, as part of the city’s enhanced COVID-19 restrictions.
City administration plans to provide an update on the matter at the upcoming council meeting on Jan. 24.
