Stars see Friday’s game in ND postponed with latest schedule updates

The Battlefords North Stars have seen their schedule turn into a bit of a juggling act of late, with the latest alteration being a postponement of Friday night’s game in Wilcox, against the Notre Dame Hounds.

The postponement of Friday’s contest is just the latest of numerous games being shuffled around throughout the SJHL, due to COVID-19.

However, despite the postponement Friday, the Stars will still hit the road this weekend to Melville Saturday, for a 7 p.m. start as scheduled, meaning the Ultra Print Pregame Show will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The team will then remain busy into next week, as the Stars will play a back-to-back of ‘make-up’ games, hosting the Flin Flon Bombers Monday (Jan. 24), and Nipawin Hawks Tues. (Jan. 25) in North Battleford. Both games will return to standard start times, with pregame at 7 p.m. and puck drop to follow at 7:30 p.m.

The scheduled games Friday, Jan. 28 versus Kindersley, and Sunday, Feb. 27 at Kindersley are ‘cancelled,’ as the games were moved up to last weekend, and have already been played.

The Stars will still play the Klippers Saturday, Jan. 29 however, in Kindersley to wrap the month. Pregame will begin at 7 p.m. with puck drop at 7:30 p.m.

The North Stars’ final make-up game versus Flin Flon will be played at the ACC in North Battleford, Sunday, Feb. 20. Pregame will begin at 7 p.m., with puck drop at 7:30 p.m.

All games will be available on 1050 CJNB.
