City hires third party investigator in response to complaint
The City of North Battleford hired an impartial third-party investigator after receiving a complaint about a matter.
During a special meeting Wednesday, council approved appointing Angela Kruk, of Regina law firm Gates & Company, to conduct an investigation related to an issue, the details of which were not revealed.
Administration recommended the appointment, as required by the Code of Ethics Bylaw. Council must appoint a third party investigator within 30 days from when a complaint is received.
The costs associated with the investigation are within the city’s 2022 proposed budget.
