Weapons, drugs seized during North Battleford arrest

Police in the Battlefords arrested an 38-year-old male for weapons and drug charges following a traffic stop on Saturday evening.

The Battlefords Gang Task Force and detachment members completed the stop on a vehicle on the 1400 block of 109th Street in North Battleford. During the stop, officers seized multiple firearms and suspected methamphetamines.

As a result Curtis Fransoo has been charged for unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He was released for court in North Battleford with his first appearance is set for Feb. 7.
