Stars fall 7-1 in lead-in to holidays in Humboldt
The Battlefords North Stars fell 7-1 to the division-rival Broncos, Saturday night in Humboldt.
Holden Doell scored the lone goal for the team, while Michael Harroch stopped 20 of 27 shots against, including a number of high-danger chances, and Lowen Kenyon made seven saves in relief.
After scoring two goals in the first period, Humboldt added five more in the second, led by an Alex Morozoff hat trick performance.
Leading scorer, Connor McGrath and winger, Braiden Koran also chipped in with a goal and two assists apiece to highlight the scoring for the Broncos, while goaltender Race Ramsay made 32 saves in the win.
