RCMP investigating suspicious death in Sandy Bay

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a suspicious death in the village of Sandy Bay.

On Monday morning around 8:30, police received a call about a seriously injured man who was brought to a health clinic in the area. The man later died.

Nicholas David Paul Bear, 23, was arrested without incident later that day and has been charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Nickison Bear.

Nicholas appeared by phone Wednesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court, and was remanded to Dec. 13.

As the investigation continues, RCMP said they will provide updates as they become available. Sources have told paNOW the two men are brothers.
