Suspect sought after attempted sexual assault in Onion Lake area

Police have released a sketch of a man suspected of an attempted sexual assault in the Onion Lake area in December of 2017.

RCMP said in a media release that a female in her 70s awoke in her home to find an adult male inside her bedroom between 5 and 6 a.m. The man attempted to sexually assault her but she was able to deter him until someone else knocked on the front door.

The man, who is described as less than five-foot-six-inches tall with a very thin build, then fled out of the rear of the home. 

Onion Lake RCMP with help from the general investigation and forensic identification section in North Battleford have undertaken “extensive efforts” to identify the male. They said several interviews have been conducted to eliminate possible suspects.
