UPDATE: As of Nov. 25 at 6:30 a.m. the RCMP have reported Josaiha Chickosis has been located and confirmed to be safe.

Battlefords RCMP are asking the public for assistance as they search for three missing teenagers.

Fourteen-year-old male Josaiha Chickosis, 12-year-old female Shanayah Poundmaker and 15-year-old female Julissa Heidel were all reported missing Tuesday evening. The report on Heidel came a few hours after the previous two. Sgt. Tremblay said there’s a possible all three were interacting, as they have some connection to each other.

“Josaih and Shanayah in particular may have be in the same place,” he said.

Chickosis was last seen on 28th Street in Battleford. He is described as over 6-feet tall, around 200 lb with black hair. He was wearing tan pants and a black sweater.

Poundmaker is about 5-4, 140 lb, with brown eyes and medium length brown hair. She was last seen on the 1200 block of 105th Street in North Battleford wearing a dark hoodie and ripped blue jeans.

Heidel, was last seen hours earlier on Tuesday by 8th Avenue. She has brown eyes, long brown hair, stands about 5-6 and weighs about 110 lb. She also has a nose piercing and was wearing grey sweatpants.

While their age is of concern in regards to their missing status, Tremblay said the detachment does not believe there’s anything suspicious about their disappearance.

“We suspect all three of them are still somewhere around Battleford or North Battleford.”

Anyone with information on their whereabouts are asked to contact the detachment.
