Police looking for missing Onion Lake female

UPDATE: As of 2:48 p.m. on Oct. 28, the RCMP have reported Heathen has been located safe.

Onion Lake RCMP are on the lookout for missing 25 year-old woman Shaylene Heathen.

Reported missing as of Tuesday, Heathen was last seen by family members in Onion Lake on Aug. 20. Family last spoke with her via social media in early September, but haven’t been able to contact her since.

Heathen is described as approximately 5’7”, 130 lbs, with brown eyes, long brown hair and wearing glasses. She also has a tattoo of an elephant on her right forearm.

Currently, she may be in Edmonton, but this has not been confirmed by RCMP. Anyone with information about her whereabouts are asked by Onion Lake RCMP to call the detachment. Information can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
