Stars fall to Hounds
The Battlefords North Stars fell for only the second time in their last 10 games in regulation to the division-rival Notre Dame Hounds on Friday at the Civic Centre.
Kyle Robinson opened the scoring for the visiting Hounds on a power play opportunity.
Surveying his options from the point position, Robinson manoeuvred his way across the top of the Stars’ zone before snapping a wrister through heavy traffic eluding the stunned North Stars’ goaltender. 1-0 Hounds.
Tanner Tarbell made it 2-0 with just around five minutes left in the opening period, scoring his fifth of the year to shock and silence the North Stars’ faithful in attendance.
