Halloween at the Fort back for another year

Oct 27, 2018 | 8:00 AM

Those looking for a scare as Halloween approaches need not look far tonight.

Halloween at the Fort is back for its 13th year, and in store for this rendition is five different areas, each with unique themes, promising to touch on everyone’s fears.

Tami Conley-Blais, interpretive officer coordinator with Fort Battleford said the long-running history of the night gives them all the tools to create a terrifying experience for everyone.

This year, the Fort has added a reduced group admission rate. A group of four will cost $73.60, while smaller groups will pay $22 per person. Everyone attending must be 13 or older.

Giving a sneak-peak on what to expect, Conley-Blais said the five original Northwest Mounted Police buildings will each have their own Halloween theme – zombies, hospital of death, creepy orphanage, witches lair and a creepy sideshow – packed with volunteers ready to scare.

“We will make you scream, for sure,” she said.

The event is one night only, and starts at 8 p.m. and runs until midnight.
