North Stars flying high into matchup with Klippers
The Battlefords North Stars have been rolling as of late, coming off two straight wins and holding a 7-2-1 record over their last 10 games overall.
The North Stars, whose last game was Oct. 19, will no doubt be rested and ready to go this evening as the team will look to close the gap on the division-leading Kindersley Klippers, while at the same time seeking retribution in answer to the first two games of the season series taken at the hands of their rivals two hours to the southwest.
The Klippers will enter action playing at the top of their respective game as well, having gone without a regulation time loss in their last seven games, en route to achieving a 7-2-1 record over their last 10.
The Klippers are lead from the goal-out, thanks to a disciplined defensive structure and elite goaltending. Heading into tonight’s matchup, Kindersley boasts the second-fewest goals against on the season, while also owning the second-best goal differential league-wide at plus 14.
