Three, including two youth, face multiple charges after police pursuit
A 24-year-old man and a male and female youth are facing multiple charges after fleeing from police and striking a police cruiser in the process.
Around 8 p.m. Saturday, a member of the Crime Reduction Team spotted a man, known to be wanted for serious firearms-related offences, enter a vehicle and leave a property in North Battleford.
RCMP attempted to stop the vehicle but it fled from police. A monitored pursuit ensued and ended about 10 kilometres west of the city on Highway 16 when the vehicle struck a police vehicle and became immobile.
Three occupants fled on foot, according to police, and were apprehended a short time later. RCMP located a loaded handgun a short distance from where the suspects were arrested. Two occupants from the vehicle were assessed by paramedics and released into police custody.
