Humboldt RCMP charge Lake Lenore priest with sexual assault-related charges

Humboldt RCMP has laid sexual assault and other charges against a priest from Lake Lenore.

45-year-old Anthony Tei Atter faces charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, and sexual exploitation. The charges are related to reports of multiple incidents of a sexual nature that took place between Sept. 1 and Nov. 4. The report was first received on Nov. 5.

Atter is the Priest responsible for the parishes of St. Gregory, St. Ann, and St. Anthony. He will appear in Humboldt Provincial Court on March 22, 2021.

No details relating to the victim will be provided to protect their identity.
