A male was found dead in the aftermath of a house fire in Radisson, Sask. on Oct. 17.

At 5:50 a.m. that morning, RCMP received a call of a house fire and attended the scene, finding Fire Crews from Radisson, Borden and Maymont hard at work fighting the fire that had engulfed the house in flames. Once it was extinguished, a body of a deceased male was located in the residence and an investigation was conducted.

The RCMP, along with the Provincial Fire Commissioners Office, Saskatoon Forensic Identification Services and the Coroners Office investigated the death. They determined at that time that there was nothing suspicious about the fire or the unfortunate death of the home owner. No one else was in the residence during this time.

In a release, the RCMP thanked the work of the fire crews, the Dalmeny Fire Chief who attended to assist and the community members.
