North Battleford Fall Compost Collection Program returns
North Battleford residents looking to clear out their backyard will have city rolling by over the next week.
The North Battleford Fall Compost Collection Program will run from Oct. 19 to the 26. This program consists of a free pick-up of an unlimited amount of bags of compost for city residents. Materials that qualify for compost include grass clippings, leaves and garden waste. However, twigs and branches larger than the size of a pinky finger are not considered compost and cannot be included in the bags with the rest of the materials.
Any North Battleford residents taking part in the program must leave their compost for pick-up in translucent plastic bags or paper yard waste bags. The bags must be see-through in order to easily identify that acceptable compost material is inside.
