The Melfort Mustangs are now able to get back onto the ice after having a player test positive for COVID-19 last week.

The team said in a release sent out on Wednesday, Sept. 30 the team is cleared for “hockey-related activities.” It added none of the additional tests administered this week came back positive and that there is no risk of spreading the virus.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League still holds a tentative date of Oct. 16 to begin play, but they still await approval.
