City of NB launches Service Request Portal

Whether its low water pressure at home, or a noticeable pothole on the morning commute, the City of North Battleford has announced a new and easy-to-use tool to help residents connect with the city and make service requests.

The new service request portal can be found on the city website, and is designed to help simplify and expedite the process in addressing resident’s needs.

Those needs can include, but are not limited to: reporting malfunctioning traffic lights, damaged sidewalks, potholes and other road maintenance; litter in parks, graffiti, issues with the city of North Battleford website, or drainage/culvert issues.

Residents can also submit requests for snow and ice removal, tree-trimming/removal, additional trash or recycling pickups, further billing information for taxes/utilities; and grass cutting for public spaces, among other general inquiries.

Communications administrator with the City of North Battleford, Dustin MacDonald, said the portal should only help the municipality’s efficiency of serving the public.

“People can now submit their requests to the city and these [requests] will be automatically put into a service requests que, and assigned to a city employee for them to be addressed,” MacDonald said. “It’s just a really good way to keep track of requests, without them getting missed. No requests should be getting lost in the paper shuffle.”

The portal also allows individuals to upload images with their requests, to illustrate the issue they are reporting or requesting. To identify the exact location of the service request, residents can move the map location pin.

A name, phone number and email address are required from those submitting the service request. This information will allow city employees to contact the individual for more information, or to provide the requester with an update.

It is important to note that Bylaw Enforcement and Fire and Emergency Services requests cannot be made through the service request portal. However, Community Safety Officers can be contacted at any time through their dispatch at 306-445-1775.

To take advantage of the service request portal, visit the city of North Battleford website.
