Unity RCMP cancel Amber Alert after locating children

Circumstances that kicked off the Amber Alert process concluded peacefully Tuesday, after three missing children from Unity were located within hours.
Around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Unity RCMP was called to a residence in town for a complaint of an assault and possible parental abduction. Police arrived on the scene shortly after and learned three children had been taken by their father from the mother’s home.
Given the information gathered during the investigation, the incident was deemed worthy of an Amber Alert and the process was initiated. Later that evening, the father was located near Kyle, without the children. They were located safe and sound a short time after, at a residence in Maidstone.
The investigation is ongoing. Further details will be released when available.
