New McDonald’s restaurant coming to north end of city

A new McDonald’s restaurant will be coming to the north end of North Battleford.

The city provided the information in an update on the 100 Street intersection work near the A&W restaurant site.

The developer’s crews are in the process of installing a turning lane and approach for the new McDonald’s location.

The work started Monday and is expected to be completed August 7.

Drivers should plan for a partial lane closure and limited access in the interim.

City council approved a subdivision, as well as easement and servicing agreements of Discovery Co-Op”s property at 9800 Territorial Drive for a development on a lease-pad site at its March 9 meeting. The city indicated a development and building permit application were received to build a restaurant. Discovery Co-Op proposed the access to the site off 100 Street.
