Advisory issued for multiple businesses in and around Swift Current due to COVID-19

An advisory has been issued by the Saskatchewan Health Authority after confirmation individuals who were at several businesses in and around Swift Current have tested positive for COVID-19 as of July 11.

The list of businesses is as follows:

  • K Motel, Swift Current on June 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m., July 8, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
  • Credit Union, Swift Current on July 4 multiple times,
  • Dickson Agencies, Swift Current on July 4 multiple times,
  • Lac Pelletier Regional Park Golf Course clubhouse on July 5 from 3:45 to 4 p.m.,
  • Great West Auto Electric Ltd (Bumper-to-Bumper), Swift Current on July 6 and July 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
  • Walmart, Swift Current on July 7 from 6:30 to 6:45 p.m.,
  • Pioneer Co-op Grocery store, Swift Current on July 7 from 5:20 to 5:50 p.m.,
  • Canadian Tire, Swift Current on July 7 from 7:50 to 8 p.m.,
  • Canadian Tire, Swift Current on July 8 from 12:30 to 1 p.m.,
  • Cabri Co-op on July 9 from 11 to 11:15 a.m.,
  • Canadian Tire, Swift Current on July 10 at an unknown time.

Anyone who attended these businesses during the listed times should monitor for symptoms. If symptoms develop, people are asked to isolate immediately and contact 811.

The SHA said all the businesses have been complying with guidelines to minimize the transmission of COVID-19. The SHA is reminding the public to do their part when it comes to protecting themselves and the community including physical distancing, following the one-way directions in stores, frequent hand washing and sanitizing and self-isolating.
