SIGA donates over a thousand pounds of food to North Battleford Food Bank

Mar 23, 2020 | 2:00 PM

The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority shuttered its properties last week in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

North Battleford’s Gold Eagle Casino, along with Northern Lights Casino in Prince Albert and Gold Horse in Lloydminster closed their doors on Tuesday.

Although the closures are unfortunate, they did provide an opportunity for the casinos to help the less fortunate.

Gold Eagle Casino management donated over 1,000 pounds of food to the Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre following the location’s closure.
