Spring collection day coming up
North Battleford residents will have a chance to get rid of all their household hazardous waste next week when the city holds its spring collection day.
People can drop off any accepted product, including household cleaning items, adhesives such as contact cement and caulking, corrosive products such as drain cleaner and ammonia, and poisons such as lawn herbicides, as a few examples.
City Manager Jim Puffalt said the city is asking residents to dispose of these types of products safely during the city’s hazardous waste day, instead of throwing them in the garbage.
He said residents are invited to bring items that shouldn’t go into the landfill to the public works yard and the city will be glad to dispose of the products for them.
