Bus cancellations and school closures: Thursday, Feb. 13

The extreme cold temperatures and wind chill has led to school bus cancellations or late start times for schools Thursday morning.

-Red Pheasant bus to North Battleford is not running.

-No school for students at Moosomin and a late start for staff at 10 a.m.

-No buses running at both schools at Pelican Lake First Nation.

-Albert and Whitford bus from Sweetgrass to North Battleford is not running.

-Living Sky School Division has all Spiritwood, Medstead, and Leoville routes cancelled.

-Mosquito schools will have a late start at 11 a.m. for students and 10 a.m. for staff. Bus pickup will begin at 10:30 a.m.

-Saulteaux Heritage School will have a late start. Bus pickup is at 10 a.m. with classes starting at 10:30 a.m.

There is an extreme cold warning in effect for much of the province. Environment Canada predicts extreme wind chill values of -40 C to -45 C. The extreme wind chill values are expected to moderate later this morning.
