A Broken Blade

A broken moldboard blade slows down snow clearing efforts

Jan 30, 2020 | 10:23 AM

Getting the fresh snow cleared away might take a little longer than usual this week.

A breakdown of a moldboard blade on one of the city’s two main graders has resulted in snow removal on streets to be slower than normal. The City of North Battleford Roadways Department will continue to remove snow as quickly as possible for motorists.

A rush order was placed on the grader parts and is expected to arrive today. Barring any unexpected delays, the grader should be in service tomorrow morning. Once the grader is back in operation, regular street clearing operations will resume.

The City of North Battleford would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during this delay.
