Two facing charges related to alleged assault in Battleford

Two people are facing charges following an alleged assault at Battleford’s Urban Native Housing Corporation on Friday.

RCMP report on Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. Battlefords RCMP responded to a complaint at a business located on the 100 block of 22 Street in Battleford where an employee was allegedly assaulted by a client.

Police report the situation was over before the RCMP arrived at the location, and no one was seriously injured.

Following a police investigation, two individuals were arrested.

Deanne Raquel Caron, 44, is charged with uttering threats, assault, mischief to property, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

Lyle Ernest Caron, 69, is charged with mischief to property, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

Both have been released on court conditions. They are scheduled to appear again at North Battleford Provincial Court in the new year.

The allegations have not been proven in court.
