Man remains at large after officer dragged by vehicle

An RCMP constable from the La Loche detachment suffered injuries after being dragged by a vehicle on Hwy 155 south of La Loche.
It happened Saturday night around 8 p.m. The officer was speaking with the driver and occupants when the vehicle suddenly sped off, dragging the officer about 100 meters before becoming free. He was treated in hospital and later released.
32-year-old Colin Evan Lamaigre of La Loche is facing several charges including assaulting a peace officer with a weapon. He remains at large and police are asking for the public’s help in finding him.
