Bernard “Bernie” Dennis Storzuk returned to his heavenly home at the young age of 70 years. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God brought him comfort in his final rest. Bernie was born to the late John and Tina Storzuk in Wynyard, Sk. on December 9, 1947. From an early age Bernie found his faith, spending many hours assisting in the church. He graduated from Wynyard Composite High School. He joined his older brothers in BC and a short time later, while living in Vancouver, met his beautiful bride, Bernice. In 1973 they married in Yorkton then moved to Calgary, AB where in 1975 they were blessed with their first bundle of joy, Koreena. Shortly after they moved to Regina and welcomed their second bundle, Grant, in 1978. Moving to North Battleford, Bernie and Bernice would settle, raising their family, making wonderful friends and lasting memories. Bernie had a love for sales working in various car dealerships as a salesman and sales manager. Bernie and Bernice moved to Saskatoon in 1996 starting another chapter of their life. In 2005, Bernie suffered a heart attack and that, coupled with a myriad of health problems, ended his sales career and started his retirement. Bernie’s biggest pride and joy, his grandchildren, Savana and Austin, were born in 1998 and 2003. Bernie devoted many hours to cheering them on at various activities and was very proud of their accomplishments. He loved to brag about his children as well, telling anyone who’d listen about their careers and latest adventures. He was happiest when he was with his family and loved to spoil them. From a very early age Bernie taught his children and grandchildren the importance of a strong faith and devotion to God. He loved Sunday morning mass with the family and brunch after. Bernie was adamant about always putting family first and helping those in need even if it meant going without yourself. Bernie is survived by his wife Bernice; his daughter Koreena (Jamie) Gallant; his son Grant Storzuk; his grandchildren Savana and Austin Gallant, his sisters in law Joan and Eileen Storzuk, brother in law Orest Bohay, numerous nieces, nephews and great friends. He is predeceased by his parents John and Tina Storzuk; his brothers Ray and Merv Storzuk and his sister Joyce Bohay.
