David was born on September 16th, 1963 at Little Pine First Nation, Saskatchewan and passed away on March 13th, 2019, also at Little Pine First Nation, Saskatchewan.  Left to cherish his memory are his brothers Byron (Adrienne), Donald Jones, Arnold (Lorrie), Noel (Tracy), Darrell and Henry Jr.; his sisters Linda (Wayne), Donna (Elmer), Diane (Ken), Norine (Glenn), Karen, Terri and Melissa; his special uncle Gavin Baptiste and cousins Faron, CeCe (Shawn), Dale, Gary, Serinda and Gavin Jr.; uncle Lawrence Blackstar; special friend Shirley Crookedneck; 30 nieces and nephews, 40 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. David was predeceased by his parents Henry & Inez (Kennedy) Blackstar, grandparents Alexander & Mary (Wright) Blackstar, Edward & Maria (Kennedy) Baptiste, aunties Louisa Wardman, Lena Albert, Christina LaPlante and Emma Kennedy; uncles Joe Kennedy, Lawrence Kennedy, John, Norman and Edward Blackstar, Special Uncle Gordon (Kocihn) King, brother Calvin Blackstar, brother-in-law Ken Tourangeau, nephews Bryan Blackstar and Justice Baptiste. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2019 ~ 11:00 am at the Little Pine Hall at Little Pine First Nation, Saskatchewan. Carl Kennedy and the Little Pine & Moosomin Elders will be officiating.
