Stars fall 3-2 to Hounds in overtime bout
The Battlefords North Stars fell 3-2 in overtime to the Notre Dame Hounds Tuesday night in Wilcox.
Hounds’ rookie, Guillaume St-Onge scored the overtime winner just 47 seconds into the extra frame to win the game for the home-side, while goaltender, Riley Kohonick stopped 36 of 38 shots against for Notre Dame in the victory.
Quintin Loon-Stewardson and Noah Form each potted a goal apiece for the Battlefords in the loss, while goalie, Adam Dmyterko made 17 saves on 20 shots.
The loss marked just the fourth defeat of the season for the North Stars, who remain well atop the league standings at 26-3-1 on the year.
