One man is charged after he tried to steal an ATM from a business in Edam.
Turtleford RCMP said they were called to a business on Main St. on Nov. 3 at around 6 a.m. after an alarm was tripped and found someone had tried to break into an ATM. No one was in the business at the time.
An investigation led officers to arrest and charge Nathan Orchison, 33, with mischief over $5,000, possession of a break-in instrument and disguised with intent to commit an offence.
He appeared in provincial court in St. Walburg on Nov. 5 and was released on several conditions to reappear on Dec. 3.
