Four charged after officer spots weapon in vehicle during traffic stop
Four people are facing firearm and drug-related charges after officers pulled over a vehicle in North Battleford and spotted a weapon inside.
Members with the Battlefords RCMP Street Enforcement Team pulled over a suspicious vehicle on 11 Ave. and 105 St. on Saturday around 10 p.m.
While speaking with the people inside, the officer saw a firearm and called in additional patrol units to make the arrest. The street was closed for a short period for public safety.
Police arrested and charged Nathan Bugler, 38, Camille Starchief, 35, and Marie Wuttunee, 29, with various firearm offences. Dennis Starchief, 38, is charged with several drug, trafficking and weapon offences. Another man and woman were released and not charged.
