Suspect in Mark Douglas Jonson homicide remanded until late August

One of two men charged in the death of Mark Douglas Jonson made a brief court appearance in North Battleford on Thursday.

Jonson, 61, was found dead at a home on 15 Ave. and 100 St. on July 5.

David Keller faces a lone first-degree murder charge in his death.

Legal aid continues to look for alternative council for Keller.

The 47-year-old was remanded and will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court via closed-circuit television on Aug. 22.

Nicolas Buck is the other person charged in Jonson’s murder. The 22-year-old is facing 10 charges, including first-degree murder for the July 3 incident.

Buck was located the morning of July 13 after officers issued a warrant for his arrest. Investigators arrested Keller on the evening of July 11.

Buck is due back in court via CCTV on Aug. 29.
