Wild blueberry festival another huge success

Aug 28, 2017 | 8:50 AM

Blueberries and blue skies welcomed visitors at St. Walburg’s 29th annual Wild Blueberry Festival.

Organizers said official numbers are still being finalized but but were confident it was an other successful year with visitors from many parts of the province attending.

“I look forward to coming to it every year,” Donna Scott said, who travelled from Swift Current. “I have been coming to this event for about 15 years and my summer wouldn’t be complete without coming.”

The festivities began Friday night with the Ethnic Supper, and continued Saturday with the pancake breakfast, classic car show, the giant outdoor market and of course lots of tasty blueberry treats to sample.
