Discs fly in Centennial Park over the weekend for provincial championship
Discs were flying all around Centennial Park over the weekend as North Battleford held the Saskatchewan provincial disc golf championships.
Roughly 60 competitors from cities all over the province including Regina, Saskatoon and Watrous came together to compete in the tournament for various prizes including a cash prize of $600.
Evan Zimmer, one of the tournament directors, said all the clubs didn’t just compete, but also collaborated in putting the tournament together.
“I would say it was hands down the best disc golf tournament Saskatchewan has seen to date,” Zimmer said. “Just having that many people actively involved in [organizing] really made it a successful event.”
