Escape the Past

North Battleford Public Library hosting ’80s themed escape room

Residents will have the chance to travel back in time this weekend at the North Battleford Public Library.

Saturday, the library is hosting a 1980s themed escape room event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Groups of two to five participants are required to register for the free event and must be 13 or older.

Assistant librarian Candice Froess said this will be the library’s inaugural escape room and if it’s successful they will host one a month.

Teams will travel back in time to 1986 and have to work together to unravel and manipulate the space-time continuum to get themselves back to the present day.

Each team will have 45 minutes to use codes, clues, music and retro tech to escape the room.
