Onion Lake man sought on kidnap, assault charges

RCMP are looking for a man from the Onion Lake Cree Nation in connection with several alleged crimes.

Mathew Stanley, 23, is wanted on charges that include kidnapping, assault, assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, and flight from police. Police said some of the alleged incidents happened Saturday, July 23. The others dated back to May 31.

Stanley is described as First Nations, 5’9″, 150 lbs. with short black hair. He is known to be in both Onion Lake and Frog Lake, Alta. often.

People who have information on Stanley’s whereabouts are asked to call Onion Lake RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
