In jail since his arrest in February, a man accused of killing Tommy Fiddler on the Waterhen Lake First Nation entered a not guilty plea in Meadow Lake provincial court today.
Gordon Fiddler’s lawyer requested an interpreter to be present so the trial can be heard in Cree during the July 25 appearance.
The case has been adjourned to Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. for a pre-trial conference at which time trial dates will be set.
During the conference, witnesses are expected to be announced.
