Wesley Veit to make second court appearance

The man accused of murdering his estranged wife makes his second court appearance today in Provincial Court in North Battleford.

Wesley John Veit is accused of first-degree murder in the death of Heidi Veit.

She was found deceased roughly five km northeast of Wilkie on March 28. 

Police have not disclosed any information on the cause of death or the events leading up to Heidi’s death. She worked at Living Sky School Division as an educational assistant.

Wesley will appear in court via video today. He was remanded into custody, awaiting trial expected to begin this summer.
