AAA Stars can’t find way to beat Pat Canadians
The scores were fairly close, but the shots and chances weren’t in the Battlefords Stars’ two losses to the Regina Pat Canadians over the weekend at the Civic Centre.
On Saturday, they dropped a 4-1 game while getting outshot 57-18 and on Sunday they lost 4-3 and were outshot 46-18.
Regina came into the weekend as the top team in the league, with a 20-2-0-1 record.
Saturday’s game was particularly difficult for the Stars, as they managed only a single shot on goal in the second period, and were trailing in shots 35-10 after just 40 minutes of play. At that point, the score was 4-0.
