Trial dates set for second degree murder trial
Trial dates are set for a Waterhen Lake First Nation man accused of second-degree murder.
Gordon Joseph Fiddler was arrested last winter for allegedly killing Tommy Fiddler on the First Nation on Feb. 25, 2016.
Fiddler entered a not guilty plea at the Meadow Lake Provincial Court during his July appearance. In January he had his matters transferred to the Court of Queens Bench in North Battleford for trial.
From Oct. 16 to Nov. 3, 2017, Fiddler will be tried before a jury and an interpreter is expected to be present as Fiddler’s native language is Cree.
