Police search for missing man, follow up on assaults

Police are asking for help in their search of a 59-year-old man who was reported missing out of the Battlefords on Jan. 31.

Ken Riley is described as a Caucasian male, 5’10” with brown hair, a mustache, and a very thin build. He was last seen wearing a brown sweater and police believe he may be making his way to Rosetown.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Battlefords RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Police investigating assaults

Between yesterday and today, Feb. 1, RCMP responded to two assaults on separate First Nations.

An assault that happened on the Red Pheasant First Nation ended with officers arresting a 25- year-old male who had a warrant.

The second, unrelated, assault on Moosomin First Nation has charges pending against a 32- year-old male who police are still seeking.
