Battlefords RCMP seek public’s help in unsolved crimes

Feb 14, 2017 | 10:16 AM

Battlefords RCMP are hoping the public can help solve some outstanding crimes that happened in the Battlefords recently.

On Jan. 23 and 31, a suspect broke into a business on Railway Ave. East and stole a booster pack valued at $320 and a Dewalt drill valued at $230.

On Jan. 17, two youth entered the Discovery Co-Op and stole a pocket knife from the display case. The youth removed the knife and hid the packaging on another shlf and left the store after being noticed by the staff. The youth then went to another store at that location and attempted to steal a pair of pants, but were observed by staff before they could take anything.

Also, on Feb. 1 between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., two televisions were stolen from two separate rooms at a hotel located near the Highway 16 bypass. The suspects gained entry into the hotel rooms from the outside window and are believed to have walked out of the room into the hallway and then left out a side door with the tv’s.

Further, on Jan. 28, RCMP received three complaints of mischief between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. The mischief occurred between the 1100 block of 107 St. and the 1400 block of 102 St. Multiple vehicle windows were smashed. Further investigation did not reveal any suspects or witnesses.

If you have any further information regarding any of these matters, please contact Battlefords RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
