Block party keeps kids bobbing in N.B.
The numbers may have been down but kids kept things upbeat at a local block party.
The 9th Annual Neighborhood Wellness Block Party rocked the block on Saturday, Sept. 3 in the 1200 block of 107th St. Children bobbed for apples and cucumbers and were given new school supplies as well.
Organizer Lisa Cormons said even though event numbers were down to approximately 100, compared to the normal attendance of 200 people, the party still a good time for all and the formula won’t change drastically next year.
“It’s all for the kids,” Cormons said. “They’re really what we’re doing this for. We want more live music next year. Other than that we’d like to keep it the same.”
