Man dies in rollover near Pierceland

A man from the Big Island Lake Cree Nation has died in a rollover.

RCMP said the 59-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving rolled on Highway 21, three kilometres north of Pierceland. Police were called to the scene at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, July 24.

Four passengers were ejected from the car. They were all taken to hospital by Cold Lake EMS with serious injuries.

Traffic was being rerouted around the scene of the rollover while police investigated the cause of the crash.
