If convicted, Crown to seek adult sentence for teen accused in death of infant
A family’s journey for justice now has a starting point.
On Monday, friends and relatives of slain six-week-old Nikosis Jace Cantre learned the Crown will seek an adult sentence if the teen is convicted of causing the infant’s death.
Cantre was found injured at a home on Waterloo Crescent the morning of July 3. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Family said the boy’s mother found him bruised and bloody, as though he had been beaten, in his playpen.
