On Aug. 20, the date of Flett’s birthday, a vigil was held on Prince Albert’s riverbank and many of the stuffed animals and other gifts, still remain at the site.

Flett was born and raised in Prince Albert and, according to family and friends, like other kids her age, she loved playing Roblox, reading, and just sitting outside enjoying nature. Peyton’s mother Danica Moore described her daughter as gentle and kind, but also outspoken and independent.
