Three charged after drugs, firearms seized near Lloydminster

447 grams of fentanyl;
761 grams of cocaine;
85 grams of methamphetamine;
226 grams of psilocybin;
700 millilitres of gamma hydroxybutyrate;
2,627 pharmaceutical-style oxycodone pills; and
441 pharmaceutical-style Xanax pills.

Police also seized three firearms, including a loaded handgun, three loaded firearm magazines and almost 1,000 rounds of ammunition.

Further investigation determined one of the occupants had removed a court-ordered electronic monitoring device earlier that day.

As a result, 28-year-old Omar Cristiano Caceres of Bonnyville, Alta., 26-year-old Zanielle Demarais of Lloydminster, Sask., and 30-year-old Kevin Kahmahkotayo of Lloydminster, Sask., each face:

three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
three counts of possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle;
one count of possession of a restricted firearm or prohibited weapon with ammunition without a licence or registration;
one count of possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number; and
seven counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Caceres also faces six counts of weapons possession contrary to an order, five counts of possession of a prohibited weapon while knowing possession was unauthorized and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He was also arrested for breaching a conditional sentence order.

Kahmahkotayo additionally faces one count of failing to comply with a release order condition and five counts of possession of a prohibited weapon while knowing possession was unauthorized.

Demarais additionally faces five counts of possession of a firearm while knowing possession was unauthorized.

All three appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Aug. 20.
