Four wanted suspects caught, 12 warrants executed in RCMP Battlefords-area operation

A targeted four-day RCMP enforcement operation in the Battlefords area resulted in the arrests of four people wanted in connection with alleged serious violent offences, with officers executing 12 outstanding warrants, police said Friday.

Between June 1 and June 4, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatoon Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team (WEST) assisted Battlefords RCMP in locating and arresting wanted individuals in the area.

“Saskatchewan RCMP is committed to making sure those responsible for crimes are brought before the courts. We have the unique combination of frontline officers and specialized units that help us locate and arrest people wanted on warrant,” said Staff Sgt. Kory Davidsen, acting senior investigative officer with Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team.

Thirty-year-old Charnelle Swiftwolfe of Moosomin First Nation was arrested on three outstanding warrants involving charges of forcible confinement, aggravated assault, uttering threats and failing to attend court stemming from a December 2025 kidnapping investigation.

Twenty-four-year-old Kathie Swiftwolfe of Moosomin First Nation was arrested on three outstanding warrants involving robbery and assault with a weapon charges related to a November 2025 assault investigation and a March 2026 robbery investigation.

Police also arrested a 21-year-old woman from Battleford on a warrant involving charges, including forcible confinement and assault with a weapon in relation to an April 2023 assault investigation. RCMP said she cannot be identified because she was a youth at the time of the alleged incident under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

A teenaged male from Moosomin First Nation was arrested on five outstanding warrants involving charges including using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failing to comply with court-ordered conditions in connection with two May 2025 investigations. He also cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

“We found and arrested four of them, all wanted for serious offences, just over this four-day campaign. The Battlefords Detachment and specialized units like WEST, the North Battleford Crime Reduction Team, the North Battleford Crime Reduction Team-Gang Task Force, and the Serious Violent Offender Response team will continue to work together to help make the Battlefords area safer,” Davidsen stated.
